LOl\fGWOOD, FLORIDA; S~?ID SMALL SCALE PLAN
AMENDMENT (SPA 02-OS) CHANGING TIDE LAND . USE
DESIGNATION ON THE FUTLjRE LAND USE MAP OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AT 1857 LAKE EMMA ROAD
FROM COUNTY LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO CITY
LOVV DENSITY RESIDENTIE?~I. (LDR) PROVIDING FOR
COI\fFLICTS, SEVERABILI.TY END EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, can July 20, 1992, the City of Longwood adopted its Comprehensive Plan
(Ordinance No. 1019) pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 163, Part II, Florida Statutes and
Chapter 9J-5 Florida. Administrative Code; and
~ WHEREAS, on November 19, 1993 the Florida Department o:f Coinmuluty Affairs
determined the City's Comprehensive Plan was in compliance with the requirements of Chapter 163,
Part II, Florida Statutes and Chapter 9J-5, Florida Administrative Code; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 163.3174 (4) (a), Florida Statutes requires the Land Planning Agency
(:LPA) to make recommendations to the governing body regarding amendments to the Comprehensive
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the LPA held a public hearing on August 10, 2005 to consider the Small Seale
Plan Amendment request; and recommended the proposed Small Scale Plan Amendment (Sl?A 02-
05) be approved by thc; City Commission; and

BE IT SO ORDAINED BY TIl[E CITY CC?MMISSION OF THE CITY OF
LONCTWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The following portions of the Future Land Use Map of the
Comprehensive Plan acre hereby amended to change the land use designation of the properties
described as:
l 857 Lake Emma Road
Property ID #30-20-30-300-003R-0000
as depicted in EXHIB:[T A, from COUNTY LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO CITY
I,OW DENSITY RlE;SIDENTIAL (LDR); attached hereto as though fully contained. hereir?.
SECTION 2: Pursuant to the requirements o:f Chapter 163.3187 (3) [c], Florida
Statutes, this Ordinasic:e shall not take effect until thirty-one (31) days after City Commission
adoption, unless an appeal has been filed within that i:ime.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a sE;ction of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawful or tu?constitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part. of this Ordinance.
