LONGWOOD CITY CODE; PROVIDl1VG FOR THE. REPEAL OF CEl2TAllV
ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED T].3EREIN; PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR THE `i~][OLATION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF
AMENDING SUCK CODE; AND PROVIDING WI3CEN SUCI3 CODE AND
THIS ORDINANCE SI3:ALL ]3ECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CONLLVBSSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
:FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Code entitled "Longwood City Code" published by Mus~icipa.l Code
Corporation, consisting of chapters 1 through 90„ each inclusive, is adopted.
Section 2. All ordinances of a general and pei-~nailent natin-e .enacted on or before June 21,
2004, and not uicluded u~. the Code or recogl~izcd and continued ui force by reference therei_n., are
repealed..
Section 3. 'Tale repeal provided for in secriori 2 Hereof shall not be cou trued to revive, any.
ordinance or part t:Llereof that has been repealed by a subsequent ordinance that is repealed by this
ordinaalce.
Section 4. U»less another penalty is expressly provided, every person convicted of a violation
of any provision of 1:he Code or aaly ordulaalce, rule or regulation adopted or issued ii1 pursuance

thereof shall be punished by a fine clot to exceed 9500.00 or a teizn. of impi-i:soivnent not to exceed 60
days or both a fine .and term of imprisotuilent. E;~ch a.ct of violation anal each day upon which any
sucLz violation s1la.ll. coi~tulue or occur shall constitute a separate offense. The penalty provided by
this section, iulless another penalty is expressly provided, sha]_l apply to the ainend»sent of any Code
section, whether ar not such penalty is reenacted. in the amendatory ordinance. hi addition to the
penalty prescribed above, tl~e city n7ay pursue other remedies such as abatement of nuisances,
injunctive relief a~ld revocation of licenses or pe:r~nits.
Section 5. ~~dda.tions or ainenchnents to t1-ie Code when passed u1 such foin~. as to indicate the
~ intention of the city commission to make the sane a part of i:he Code shall be deemed to be
incorporated in the Code, so that reference to the Code uicludes i:he additions and anlendinents.
. Section 6. Ordi.naiices adopted. after Jude 1, 2004 that amend or refer to ordularrces that have .
been codified in tlae Code shall be construed as if they amend or refer to like provision, of the Code.
Section 7. This ordinance shall before efi:ective irrunediately upon its passage aald
adoption.
