AN ORIDINANCE OF THE CITY ®F LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE TRANSPORT It~TE; AMENDING CITY CODE
SECTI®~N 2-423, PARAGRAPIEI 4 SUB-SECTION A-F,
ADMINJ[STRATIVE SERVICE FEES (FIRE SERVICE); AND
PROVIT?ING FOR CONFLICTS,, SEVERABILITY AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida, deemed it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of the; City that the Faire Department operate an
emergency medical patient transport system; azid
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood, Florida, has the
authority to establish fees for service; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon available information and data, deem it
appropriate to revise the transport rate.
NOW, T~ll[EREFORE, BE IT ORD~~INED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
S]ECTION I. That the schedulr, of fees relating to the City's operation of
the emergency medical patient transport systen~~ is hereby modified as follows:
1. That the :Fee for BLS Non Emergency transport has hereby been set at One
Hundred Seventy Nine Dollars ($179.01)).
2. That the fee for BLS Emergency transport has hereby been. set at Two
Hundred Eighty Seven Dollars ($287.00).
3. That the fee for ALS Non Emergence transport has hereby been set at
Two Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($215.00).
4. That the fee for ALS Level 1 transport has hereby been set at Three
Hundred Forty One Dollars ($341.00).
5. That the fee for ALS Level 2 transport has hereby been set at Four
Hundred Ninety Three Dollars ($493.00).
6. That the :Fee for Transport Mileage per loaded mile has hereby been set at
Six Dollars and Five Cents ($6.05).
7. The fees and charges for emergency medical patient transport services and
load miJ.eage shall not exceed the maximum allowable charged.
as determined by Medicare, and Medicaid if applicable, and henceforth

charges i:or these services shall automatically be adjusted to coincide with
the Medicare and/or Medicaid approved rate(s).
SECTION IL In the event it is determined by the City Commission that a
change to the FE;e Schedule is warranted, the change will be accomplished by Ordinance
adopted by the Longwood City Commission.
'SECTION III. CONFLICTS., All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith, be and. the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. SEVERABILITY. Should any section, paragraph,
clause, sentence;, item, word, or provision of tl-~is ordinance Ue declared invalid by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a
whole or any paa-t hereof, not so declared to be invalid.
SECTION V, EFFECTIVE ]DATE. This ordinance becomes effective
upon adoption.
