WHE:RiEAS; t11e Longwood City Code has been reviewed and it has been
determined an amendment to paragraph (1) in Section 2-313, Rules and Procedures for
Boards and Co:nunittees, is necessary to keep the City Code compatible with the new
audio visual equipment;
NOW, 7i HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C:[TY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORII?A, AS FOLLOWS:

~ SECTION 1. Section 2-313, (1). Required, be amended. as follows:
Section ?-313 Rules and Procedures for Boards and Conunittees

(1) Electronic ~°ecording. The recording secretary shall be responsible
for making an electronic tape recordi~ag of each entire meeting which shall be
maintained by the city clerk in confoz7nance with applicable state public records
law.
SECTION 2. CONFLICTS. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewil:h are repealed.
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. In the event that any portion or section,
subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance is
determined to be invalid, illegal or unconstitutional by a court of competent
jL~risdiction, whether for substantive, procedural, or any other reason, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision, and such holding
shall in no maimer affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTICIN 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. Tr~is ordinance shall take effect upon
adoption.
