FLORIDA, DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF AND
Fl[XING THE RATE OF AD VALOREM TAXATION
AND MAKING THE ANNIJA~L TAX LEVY FOR THE

NOW, 1~~REFORE, BE IT ORDAINE~,D BY THE CITY COMMISSION THE
CITY OF LONG'WOOD FLORIDA, AS FOLLOW~3:
SECTIOrd l : That the amount determined by the budget as necessary to be raised
by ad valorem taxation in the City of Longwood, ]?lorida, for the operation and expenses
for the administration of the affairs of the City is +the sum of $4,935,094.
SECTION 2: That the millage for the Fiscal Year 2009/2010 is fixed at 4.99
mills which is a decrease of 10.1900 per cent fi~oni the current year rolled back rate
5.5563 as computed in accordance with F.S. 200.06' .
SECTIOl`1 3: That there shall be levied ar.~~.d collected by the City of Longwood
Florida, for the Fiscal Year commencing Ocfober 1, 2009 and ending September 30, 2010
upon all NON=EXEMPT TAXABLE PROPERTY within the corporate limits of said
City, a tax of 4.99 mills on each dollar of non-exempt appraised value for the purpose of
realizing a sum sufficient to fund the budget and'. m eet and defray the necessary operating
expenses of said City for the ensuing Fiscal Year.
SECTION 4: That the gross taxable v~ilue for operating purposes not exempt
from taxation wil:hin the City of Longwood ha.; been certified by the Seminole County
Property Appraiser to the City ofLongwood as $1,0~!~1,049,331.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith, and
the same are hereby repealed.

SECTIO]v 5: If any section, sentence; clause or phrase of this ordinance is held to
be invalid or una~nstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall in no way
' affect the validity of the remaining portions of thi~~ ordinance.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 2009.
