Present: John "Bob" Lomax, Chair Ernest Tolos, Vice Chair Andrew McGarry, Member Gail Brown, Member Kelly Kirk, Member Also Present: Amy Goodblatt, Board Attorney Richard Taylor, City Attorney Russ Cohen, Lieutenant Cathy Price, lnspector Bonnie Howington, lnspector Wendi Smith, Recording Secretary Absent: Debra Dube, Member I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER1 ROLL CALL: Chair Lomax called the meeting to order at 7:OOp.m. The Recording Secretary called the roll. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes from the May 24, 2005 meeting were presented. Member Tolos moved to accept the minutes of the April meeting seconded by Member Brown. Vice Chair Tolos stated that there needed to be some changes on CEB 04-1 1-422 the word "twice" was used to many times, one needed to be taken out, and in the approval of May minutes there were two "second motions'! and one of them needed to be removed. The minutes were amended to includ?e Debra Dube as a Respondent in Case 05-05-459. Motion carried by a unanimous roll call vote with Member Dube absent. 3. REPORT CASE UPDATE: None CEB 6-28-0511 4. PUBLIC HEARING: City Attorney conducted the swearing in of witnesses. A. CEB 05-07-467 BLANKENSHIP 164 E. Maine Ave Longwood, FI 32750 Code Compliance lnspector Price reported she cited this property on April 22, 2005, under City Code, Chapter 22, 22-33 Storage of Boat, RV, and Trailer. She revisited the property on April 30, 2005 and the property was not in compliance; Notice of Hearing was served on June 11,2005 by a Longwood Police Officer. The city requests that an Administrative fee of $1 00.00 be imposed. Code lnspector Price answered questions from the Board Members Robert Blankenship, homeowner. spoke in reference to this violation. Vice Chair Tolos moved to close the public hearing. Seconded by Member McGarry and carried by a unanimous voice vote with Member Dube absent. Vice Chair Tolos moved, based on the evidence and the testimony, to find the respondents guilty of violating City Code, Chapter 22, 22-33 Storage of Boat, RV, Trailer, in support of this motion, he asked the board find the following facts occurred; a small boat is parked on the west side of the house in front of the fence. He further moved to impose an Administrative fee of $100 to be paid within 30 days from the date of service; property was in compliance as of the meeting date. Seconded by Member McGarry and carried by a unanimous roll call vote with Member Dube absent. B. CEB 05-06-462 HARTMANISPURLIN 920 S. Oleander St Longwood, FL 32750 Code Compliance lnspector Price reported she cited this property on April 22, 2005 under City Code, Chapter, 22, 22-33 Storage of Boat, RV and Trailer.; City Code, Chapter 12, 12-2(2) Trash & Debris. She revisited the property on April 30, 2005 and the property was not in compliance; Notice of Hearing was CEB 6-28-0512 served on June 11,2005 by a Longwood Police Officer. The city requests, that an Administrative fee of $100.00 be imposed. Code lnspector Price answered questions from the Board Members. Bryan Hartman; Homeowner; spoke in reference to this violation. Vice Chair Tolos moved to close the public hearing. Seconded by Member McGarry and carried by a unanimous voice vote with Member Dube absent. Member McGarry moved, based on the evidence and the testimony, to find the respondents guilty of violating City Code, Chapter, 22, 22-33 Storage of Boat, RV, and Trailer. City Code, Chapter 12, 12-2(2) Trash & Debris. In support of this motion, he asked the Board find the following facts occurred; there was a trailer visible through the gate and there is an accumulation of building materials that were also visible through the gate. He further moved to impose an Administrative fee of $1 00 to be paid within 30 days from the date of service; property was in compliance as of the meeting date. Seconded by Member Kirk and carried by a unanimous roll call vote with Member Dube absent. C. CEB 05-06-463 EGGERICH 237 Wildmere Ave Longwood, FI 32750 Code Compliance lnspector Price reported she cited this property on May 6, 2005 under City Code Chapter 22,22-33 Storage of Boat, RV, Trailer: City Code Chapter 12, 12-2(2) Trash, Debris. She revisited the property on June 3, 2005 and the property was still not in compliance. Notice of Hearing was served on Gloria Eggerich on June 11,2005 by a Longwood Police Officer. The city requests that an Administrative fee of $100.00 be imposed. Code lnspector Price answered questions from the Board Members. Gloria Eggerich; Homeowner; spoke in reference to the violations. Vice Chair Tolos moved to close the public hearing. Seconded by Member McGarry and carried unanimous voice vote with Member Dube absent. Member McGarry moved, based on the evidence and the testimony. to find the respondent guilty of City Code Chapter 22, 22-33 Storage of Boat, RV, Trailer; City Code Chapter 12, 12-2(2) Trash, Debris.
