1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair McCoy tolled the meetivg to order at'1:tl0 p.m. He stated the first ium of business

Chair McCoy proceeded to ask far a motion to approve the minutes for December 5, 2000.
Member Anderson made a motion to approve and Member Uvttner seconded.
Motion carried by a voice vote 6-0-1 with Member Traylor absent.
2. OLD BUSINESS
Member Andersoo referred Beek to the minutes of December 5, 2000 enggesting a free be
planted in each park for next yenr so they could be decorated (or Christmas, which would
make it this year, and thought it ahvuld be kept in the forefront so they could be
~ planted on Arbor Day.
Chair McCoy informed that Ueputy Mflyor John C. Maingot said Be would be more Than
glad to have them planted for the City.
Chair McCoy then proceeded to explain to the new Members about the Christmas Event
and haw well he thought it bad gone compared to the prior year as it hatl been schetlul¢d
n diRerea Saturday than the festivities of Altamonte Springs which everyone seemed to
want to attend.
Member Maloney then commented the cars that were on display should have been quiet
while the children were still singing.
Chair McCoy said yes, he was a little annoyed at that also, as he had been vvder the
impression that the cars were to have bem~ Antique Cars jnst far viewing, and he hoped
something would be done about that this year.
Members Runner and Daugherty Ihougbt a car show should not Bave been handled at the
Christmas Event a1 all; and, all members agreed.
Ms. Walsh agreed. She thought it was going to be something for Rye adults to look at while

3. YEW BUSINESS
A. DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Ms. Walsh passed around maps to all, with parks locations, and said all might try to get
and to t them when they ar and about and asked if they saw any equipment
that hatl to be replaced, to please let her know.
Member Maloney asked her how long it would take to replace Me items. She said she did
of know ns there was a five year Master Plao in eReet and it would probably be some
_ years Jown the road.
Member Anderson saiA this was not something that was started last year or Ne year
before, it was a Comprehensive Plan which included the entire Gity mid future
development areas and was approved by the City and started back about 1991 and it is an
on going thing that the law requires be updated every ywr.
Ms. Walsh informed she spoke to Debbie Renfro, Property Maintenance Supervisor, about
last year's Easter Egg Ruat, and thought this year she would pot special colored eggs [or
reek difierevt age group. Tnik continued about what kind of privet to give and i(therc
shaultl be one top prize for each age group, and what it should be, also whom should be
contacted and asked for tlonatians.
Chair McCoy suggested getting in touch with The Bike Shop find ask for a donation as he
thought they would give one.
Member Daugherty said trying to gU Scooters wovlJ probably be a better idea since [hey
cost a lot leas.
Member Maloney said to get iv tooth with Scar's because he received donations far kls
Scout troop from them.
Member Floit asked who handled theegg hunt, and Chair McCoy said all the board
members usually volunteer, with Debbie Reufro's Property Maintenance workers M1elping.

M1is. Walsh said she would try to have x11 the detaib set for the meeting in Merc6 so they
noultl be al8rmrd for the Easter Event.
Member Anderson asked when the softball season was to begin. Ms. Walsh told him it was
acting on Februxry 20th, 2001; slag she spoke to Mike, the gentleman who handles the
program, and he solo because sign up was less than last yrar, they were going to extend the
sign up period.
Chair McCoy extended his thanks to all the members on the board (or making his term as
Chair so enjoyable and also to eztentl his help if any volunteers were ever needed.
Member Anderson ascended his thanks far his term on the Board and also spoke of all his
volunteer servme
