1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair O'Keefe called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m
2. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
JoAnne Robeilo infarm¢d all about National Night Out, which
crime. last year the Cifizen Volunte¢r group consisted of
herselfnSherae Murphy and a few last minute helpers. It was a great
turnout and she asked it all would join to make this yea a greater
ss. it has to be put on the Agenda and approved by the City
Commission which she hoped would be on the June 17, 2002
Commission Meeting. If it gets approved, they hope to have the Clry
businesses donate food and prizes. She came to see if the Board
wished to get involved and help [o keep it a yearly event Ail present
agreed [o cooperate if passed 6y the Commission.
3. OLD BDSINESS
A. Coordinator's Report
Ms. Walsh announced that the November meeting would have [o be
rescheduled to another night as the regular meeting tell on

November 5, 2002, Election Day. All present agreed to move it to the
following nigh[, November Q 2002. Ms. Walsh suggested
schetluling the Parks and Recreation board meeting oT August 6,
2002, to August 7, 2D02, so the Board could participate in the
National Night Out Event.
Ms. Walsh said they are finalizing the plans for Sandalwood Park,
antl a problem came up about putting in a light so the Police can see
into [he park as they ride by. All a9reetl a light should be installed.
Hopefully the bitl will go out this week and it can be started.
8. Approval of Minutes
Chair O'Keefe asked for the Minutes of May T, 2002, to be approved.
Member Daugherty approvetl, Member Gilmore seconded, passed
4~0~2 with Member Anderson and Vice Chair Holt absent.
4. New Business
Chair O'Keefe asked Ms. Walsh if she had a date for the Bike Rotleo
Even[ in September. Ms. Walsh apologized and said she did not
have one yet but after talking to all the members last year it was
confimed that [he Event would be back at City Nall.
Member Pgug asked why Arbor Park had been tapetl off.
Ms.Walsh said she would check and see the reason. Member Pflug
also thought a light further back into Arbor Parse woultl help the
police at night.
Chair O'Keefe asked for a motion to adjourn. Motion was matle by
Member Daugherty seconded by member Gilmore and canied 4.02
with Member Anderson antl Vice Chair Holt absent.
