1. Call to Order. Chair Shoamakor called the meeting m order ai 1.00 Pm.

Member Richardson moved to appcove the minutes as submined.
Seconded by Member Belair and carried by a unanimous voice vote with
Member Mrng absent.

5. Old Business.
A. Parks & Recreation Manager's Report.
Ms. Mali reported she was wntinuing to work on the gran[ for Rei[er Park
end there has been a one month axtension due to the hurricanes. She
reported that softball was just finishing up and the Polar Bear League
would be starting. She stated work was beginning on the Christmas
program. She announced the city would be working in conjunction with
the Arthritis Foundation. On Decembu 4'" there wit l be a tingle BeII Ruv,
pet pazade, and a fun for children 7'he city's evens Por Celebrate the
Season would fbllow later in the day She stated the Rockthe Park avant
would be held toward the end of May. She reported they would be seeding
t a flyer iv theutility bills announcin6 upcoming events far Parks and
Recreation.
6. New Business.
A. Discussion -Fall Festival

Ms Meli handed out flyers ov the Fell Festival and requested the membero
to distribute These to various areas. She said she would be needing
volun rs for Rooville and the cemival. She explained that rtaff ran the
Haunted Aouu fr this event.
Discussion was held regarding a revised flyer f r distribution in the
xhools.
Chair Shoemaker suggested the members go by and see the setup for
Rooville and the Haunted Hou e. She distributed and reviewed a list of
ideas and xggestions for the Fall festival.
Ms. Mali reported she would need someone to volunteer as cook during
this event.
Member Driver volunteered to cook.

Ms. Mali suggested the volunteers use their betterjudgment as to whether
o allow older children to go through Rooville. She said she would review
the list of volunteers and deviea a eehedula. She reported that higL school
students can volunteer and receive credit through their xhool.
Ms. Mali reported the city was planninK to hold an Old Fashioned A'" of
July celebrat rt5he askedthe members to considertltis and bring their
ideas to a future meeting.
