A. ParW & Recreation Manager's Report.
Ms. Mali reported last month's feamra at Senior Matinee was Sha!/We
Dm~oe and this month the feemre will be Sanondhand Liwu. She reported
the Bluegrass Pickin' was wall attendad~, howevar_ there weren't many
musm~ans m attendance. She reposed Seniorcise continues [o da well.
Ma Meli reported the Eas[tt Fgg Huvt was a huge mccess. She smtad
there had bea a fw and w which they w ra addressing.
She staledthey only play ed losuse two fields next year in an effott to
keep the children in closer proximity. She said Ihis would benefit the
parents who have children in diffuent age groups. She said they would cot

would not be occurring. She stated they were wminuing to work on Ball

New Business
Ms Adzima reposed Summer Camp was scheduled for June 6-July 22v° a
Lyman High School. She stated registration would be held April I8 -April 22"a
for asides only: April 25 - 29'" for nonresidents and residems. She reviewed the
st for camp and re awed the v us Feld trips planned. She advised
the field trips were included i v'the price She stated summer temp will be limited

Ms. Mali reposed that summer camp would be pattieipating in the Summer
Olympics this year. She stated there would be a golf tournamem fundraiser far the
Olympics.
Ms. Mali advised the city had been forwarded an opportunity by a playground
ompany oCLOngwood to be i volved with a skate park dam n. She said
the company would set uD the skate park for the day and children would have the
opportunity to participate as well as expert skaters putting on demonstrations. She
stated only two cities in the State of Florida have been asked to participate in this
demonstration. She advised this haz fallen on July 4'" weekend and would be held
on July 2. 2005. She said [he city will have a lot of work bur no expense involved
with the skate park demonstration. She smted this would be held in Reiter Park
and would be combined with Rack the Park.
Ms. Mali reposed she had been discussing with the Historic Society in partnering
with them For a Founders Day event nett year. She explained them were no funds
vailable for a 4'" ofluly even Por this year- She stated another problem was
staftinK in that it was a hol'day weekend.
Chair Shoemaker ecogni ~ Mr. Wells was in allendance and stated he sad
worked towards a 4'" of July Celebration. She inquired if Ire could move Forward
with the contacts he lied made for donations for this event.
