1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman I-Iuttner called the meeting to order at 7:13 p.m.
2. PUBLIC PARTICIPATIOI`1
Ms. Swartzbaugh showed a map she had drawn of the different stations for the
Tree Lighting Ceremony. The board reviewed the map with her as she went over
the set up for the stations.
Ms. IIuttner is bringing drinks for the girls. Ms Breckon expressed a desire for a
concession stand during the event. She would like to put the proceeds from the
stand toward the thrift shop.
Ms. Swartzbaugh said there will not be an adult at each table. The tables that are
more difficult will have an adult. The easier tables will only have the girl scouts
helping.
Ms. Lomax announced that the City did purchase a PA system for the event.
3. DIRECTORS REPORT
Ms. Lomax said that there will be different dignitaries attending the event. Ms.
Lomax showed the flyer that they will hand out for the event.
The thrift shop will be open Friday and Saturday. Someone may need to bring
pillows for Santa. Ms. Lomax said that the Santa will pick up the Santa suit
Thursday. The sleigh was completely refurbished. Mr. Wons was at the last city
commission meeting and mentioned the things that the board needs from the city
for the event. Like spraying for mosquitos etc. The event was announced on the
water bill.

Ms. Swartzbaugh said two face painters will be there. They will need to transfer 14
tables and 12 chairs transferred out of the building for the event.
4. oLD BUSIIYESs
Ms. Breckon was concerned that the sign was still not changed at Reider Park. Ms
Breckon said that on her way to the meeting there where people out front with a
fire going in a bucket and the lights were not on. They where standing by a barrel.
Ms. Lomax stated that Public Works was notified about the sign and they said that
the signs where changed.
Ms. Lomax said that there are having problems with brown outs. and that there will
be a concession stand at a later date.
Ms. Lomax said that there has been a problem at the park with people starting fires
and doing graffiti in the area.
a. APPROVE THE OCTOBER 12, 1996 MItYUTES
Motion was made to approve the minutes by Ms. Shemoshi with one
con-ection showing that Ms. Lomax was present at the meeting. The motion
was seconded by Ms. Sargent and passed by an unanimous voice vote.
5. HOLIDAY TREE LIG1ITIlYG CEREMOI`IY
The board needs to meet at 2:15 the event will start at 3:30. The streets will be
blocked off at 2:30 p.m. There is a PA system now.
6. ADJOURI`1MEl`IT
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ms. Shemoski and was
seconded by Ms. Sargent. The motion carried with an unanimous voice vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
