1. CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Wons called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Due to a lack of
quorum, an informal discussion was held.
Ms Lomax, referring to the upcoming Fun Dog Show, said she has
ordered trophies. She also will order 2nd and 3rd place ribbons and
has contacted McDonalds. They will donate a few prizes to the city
for the show.
Mr. Wons said that he had attempted to contact Anacare on numerous
occasions but has been unable to reach them.
Ms. Latimer contacted Jack's Aquarium and Pets about contributing
to the Dog show. They stated that they will not be able to
contribute anything this year. She stated she distributed flyers
to area schools and various businesses around the city.
Ms Huttner stated that her boss would donate Gatoraide to the
event. She will continue to see about getting some cookies for the
event.
Mr. Wons recommended that the businesses that contribute to the
show be advertised on the program. Since Supreme Leather Restorers
donated $25.00 to this year's event, he suggested that the board
look into buying the material and making the leads and collars for
the Dog Show next year.
Ms Lomax responded to this by proposing getting some money for
materials this year to see if the board could get a few made for
this year's show.
Mr. Wons has received positive feedback from the community with
regard to the letters that are sent out inviting people to the Fun
Dog Show. People seemed to really like getting the letter.
