MINUTES
JUNE 3, 1997
PRESENT:

Sargent,
ABSENT:

SUB COMMITTEE MEMBER:

Due to the lack of quorum, no official meeting was held. However, members present discussed the
upcoming dog show with respect to planning.
Members thought it would be of benefit not to limit registration so as many people as possible could
participate. Registrations must be returned by a certain date or they would be excluded. It was
suggested that the Dog Show be moved to Reider park this year. Another suggestion was to block
Wilma Street from Warren Avenue to Church for the Dog Show. It was also suggested that the
community building could be used in case of rain out.
Ms. Lomax said the Dog Show was set for September 23, 1997. Getting a celebrity guest would be
of benefit if the event could be a fund raiser for the local dog shelter. It was thought that a
veterinarian should participate in the Dog Show.
Members will consider categories to replace the fluffiest fur and the fattest dog categories.
Discussion ended at 5:10 p.m.
