The meeting w s called to order by Mr. Haynie at J:GO P.M 2. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Mr. Emory, s contletl by Mr. Thompsen, to approve the Minutes of April 2J, 1988. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. 3. Election of Chai rinan. Motion by Mr. Pope to no na to Mr. Emory for Chairman. Seconded by Mr. Thomlpsen. There were nomother nominations. Motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. ~ 4. Site Plan Extension - Lo n9wood Warehouse. Located on Longwood Avenue and E. 4larren Avenue. Requesting 60 day extension. 11r. Pope tlecl aretl a conflict of interest and sta tetl he would no vote on the 11r. Thompsen asked Mr. Butch i4 M1e was furnished a copYtof the May 6, 1988econments. Mr. Butch was not and he was furnished sa Mr. Haynie questioned the re oval of trees on Pine Street. Mr. 8utc hes rated willows were moved but he intended to put so oak trees in their place and also pave Bay Street. Mr. Butch stated thembuiid inq will have a brick facade on the front and also along the sides for 4o feet up to the canopy. Ne further stated he might plant one or more trees along Longwood Avenue also. Ne stated the ex lot on Bay Street provided for parking, will be graded and shale will be pu tra down. He stated it would prov itle parking for about 3U cars. Mr. Thompsen stated the block wall on the east was erected to be esthetically pleasing to the residential a a abutting the project to the east and he objected to the barbed wire on top ofethe wall. Motion by IAr. Haynie, s conded by Mr. Pope, to re mend to the ADard of Adjust- ment that the va ce fora 8' chain link fence between co cial properties be granted but onl yn6' if it is between co ial and res iden {i al, also that the ba rbetl w e atop the block wall on the east side be re oved. Motion carried by a three to on vote, with Mr. Naynie, Mr. Pope and Mr nThompsen voting aye and Mr. Emory voting nay. 6. Additional Discussion Items Mr. Thompsen stated he had se eral c aments regarding the termination of former Chai n Ber and li n[on. Mr. vihompsen stated i appeared his termination inay M1averbeen more for the reasons of his appea ring tat the Ct ty Commission meetings rather than his actual conduct at the LPA meetings. Mr. Thompsen sa itl he thought Mr. Linton did a find job and wa very fair and he had no problem with the way Mr. Linton conducted the LPA mee{i ngs. J.
