Haynie voting aye and Mr. Cochrane abs tai ni nq. 3. Site Plan - City of Longwood Public Works Office -Applicant: City Pf Longwood. Location: 18o E. Warren Avenue. 2oni ng [-1. Mr. Wickham stated he was the Landscape Architect of Record on the Public Works Site Plan and would ste0 down and not take part in the discussion or vote and would file the required conflict of interest form. Mr. Wickham then passed the gavel to Iqr. Hammond to officiate. Mr. Hammond asked Hr. Nagle for his menu. Mr. Nagle stated the proposed building was 1608 sq. ft, and would serve omthe engineering office for Public Ilorks. He stated the BRB r ended approval subject to compliance with outstanding conments. Mr. Nagle stated he believed all c menu have been taken care of with exception of outstanding n M1is letter dated May 22, 1981. IIr. Nagle asked Mr. Wickham to address I ten s.',3 of May 22, 798] letter. Regarding Item v14, Mr. Wickham stated the jasmine native plant and should not require any more than normal w ring of any lawn. Mr. Nagle questioned sc ni ng of the site on the E/VI property lines. 11r. Na ssl er agreed to provide the additional plants a requested by Mr. Nagle. F1r. Nagle stated that, perhaps, with Lh e. LPA approvals when the property on the east becomes developed, plantings would be required but at the present time it is a moot question due to the heavy vegetation now on the site. Idr. Ray replied it wa not fenced at [his ti me, but stated he has had meetings with the Fire Nepartment regardi nq where a fence can be placed and proposes to continue the existing Fence with Fire Department's approval, t1r. Ku tz stated they would not lease the facility. M11r. Vavid Gunter stated he was Dresent to represent the Cburch and would a any questions. Mr. Gunter stated the Church ru a day care se ce from ]sAMr to approximately 6 PM during the week, not on Saturday or SundayVl He stated Sunday school i operated in the facility on Sundays. Mr. Kutz sta Ced the request wus to allow the existing 20' wide driveways to re 20'. He further stated the driveway entrances would be brought up to cu rrentn UOT ontl City codes. Mr. Wickham questioned if a hedge was required between bays on mulched pa rk in9. Mr. Nagle stated he believed the hedge was optional. Mr. Wickham stated he just wanted a commentary on record regarding the hedge. Mr. Ku tz stated they ar requ es ti n9 approval of the site plan without having to wait far the w n the roadways. Mr. tlagle stated if tM1 cost to plan wa - ditionally approved, possibly the Building Uffic ial could is a permit for the construction on the site and the developer could leave theeex fisting driveways es they exist until the ve ruled upon and if the Board did deny the variance to allow the 20'adreveways to stay, they could then 90 back and widen the driveways. Mr. Nagle scaled if the approval wfls glv en in this m it would n t hold up the project. Mr. Wickham questioned the di sta ncenof the hose bibs and stated the code required they be within 750 feet. fir. Larry Oale stated there was a M1ose bib on the eastern end of the exf stf ng buildi n9. Mr. Wickham ques tionetl whether four of the trees scheduled to he saved would be in danger of being lost due to the close proximity of the pout nq and the building. Mr. Dale stated due to the fact that there ar substantial grade changes and the trees are five to seven feet From the paving or bu it di n9s that they could be saved Motion by Mr. flayni e, s contl etl by Mr. Loch ra ne, to re mend approval of the First Baptist Lhumch Addition according to LlA/Site Plan provided that the Hoard of Adjustment approves the variance being requested and if the va s denied, approval i nmended for the alternate site plan. Mr. Hayniece mended the motion tosi ncl ude the statmient that if the four trees in jeopardy appear to be dying due to the construction as per a decision by the City 6ulld ing Offi clot, then they sha ii be replaced on ne to on ratio. Na91e stated the co sul fonts have submitted their proposed final v n of the backgrvu nd data of the Plan and Mr. Nagle stated he would hope in about two weeks to submit copies to members of the Camp. Plan corteni ttee and ask for their co cots, written o erbal, i approximately 14 days. M1lr. Wickham stated he would like to re w ail vthe elements. Mr. Plagle stated hevwas SOb completed with the new landscape code but he had been delayed Dn completing it due to work on the budget. Mr. Wickham announced that he wilt be resigning from the LPA and that the last leeti n9 he will attend will be June 10, 198]. Reason for his resignation was due Lo the fact that he will be residing outside the munici pel boundaries of Longwood s mete me after June 14th.
