LPAMin10-13-76Longwood Land Planning Agency October 13, 1926 The Longwood Land Planning Agency held its regular meeting at Z:30 p.m. Present: Percy White, Frederick Ritter, Robert Haianond, Andy Semi nazzi and N. H. Haynie. Also present was Mr. Lee, City Planner. 1. The chairman called the meeting to order. The clerk read the minutes of the September 22 meeting. The minutes were approved as read. 2. Request of Rod Cable for change of zoning of Lots 1 and 2-Wetheri ngton Heights addition to Longwood from 6-1 to Lonmle rcial. This property is located at the corner of Grant Ave. and SR 434. 3. Mr. Cable w s present and stated that he had a un tered difficulty i trying to get Orofessi onai tenants for these buildings because of the closeness of the convenience store and the closeness of the road that is currently being w;aenea. 4. Mr. La ble stated that he would not do anything that would be a detriment to the area. He feels that Commerc tat zoning would be the highest and best use of the property. 5. Mr. Gene Duffey, an associate of Mr. Cable's, was present and spoke to members of the board. 6. The chairman stated that the re ni ng of this proFerty would not be spot- zoning since it is very close to theoShop & Go convenience store. ]. Moved by Mr. Semi nazzi, s conded by Mr. Nayn ie that si ce the Land Planning Agency has already submitted to co ncil on September J then re sed zoning ordinance ands ce they wilt s on be submitting to co cil the re sedvz on ing map, that the Land Pianni nq Agency grant the request For change of zoning from B-i to comnerci al on the following described property: Lots 1 and 2-Wetheri ngton Nei ghts addition to Longwood. Rail tail vote: Unanimous, motion carried. 8. Moved by Mr. Semi nazzi, seconded by Mr. Hammond that the Land Planning Agency send a letter to Mayor Lormann and Council Chairman Grant requesting that council set up a work session with Mr, lee to study the ordinance that bas been up-dated and delivered to them on September ], 19]6. Roil call vote: Unanimous, motion carried. 9. The members discussed with Mr. Lee the Comprehensive Zoning Mao for the city 10. Moved by Mr. Hammond, seconded by Mr. Semi naz zi that after certain changes to the re sed Lomprehensi ve Zoning Map re mended by the Land Planni nq Agency at this meeting ar completed by Mr. Lee, the map be su bolt tied immediately to city council for their approval.
