A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
ELECTING TO USE THE UNIFORM METHOD OF
COLLECTING NON -AD VALOREM SPECIAL
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED WITHIN THE INCORPORATED
AREA OF THE CITY; STATING A NEED FOR SUCH LEVY;
PROVIDING FOR THE MEdLING OF THIS RESOLUTION;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Longwood, Flonda (the "City') is contemplating the unpotirm
of non -ad valorem special assessments to fund lbe cost of certain capital improvements and
a thereof including: (I) marl paving and resurfacing; (it) enhancement of rightsrof-
way,tsubdivisiov walls, subdivision entrances and ItI ians; (fit) street lighting dddddg,,, end
underground utilities; and (iv) water and wastewater imprvements; and

/` WHEREAS, the City held a duly advertised public hearing prior to the adoption of this
Resolution, proofof publication of such hearing being attached hmR, as Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Longwood, Florida, E.:
Section L Commencing with the fisal year b4tming October 1, 2005 and with the

Inngwood, Flondl shall consist of the boundaries of the City as established by Chapter 9825,
Laws of Flodda, 1923, Section 6, and iv addition thereto ail land annexed by the City of
Longwood, Flmida subseq-1 m 1923, and prior to theeff-wl date of the City Chater.
