Resolution 04-1113I� RESOLUTION N0. 04.1113 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, ESTABLISHING A PRIORITY FOR TRAIL DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF LONGWOOD; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS: trail systems antl linear parks are a valuable asset to the vibrancy of a comm nily providing outlets antl opportunities for both recreation and nansportalion; antl WHEREAS: trail systems provide an economic benefit w the cities and neighborhoods where trails exist antl are a significant element of the City of Longwood', Comprehensive Plan; antl WHEREAS- Seminole County has funding available I. develop Vail systems thmughout Ne county and within the incorporetetl areas 10 serve all residents of Seminole County; and WHEREAS: establishing a priority will provide Seminole Ccunly and other agencies with a definitive list of projects and proposed t,ils within the City of Longwood; antl NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The Gil, Commission hereby accepts Ihat the priority of developing bails �„ antl trail mnnectors for the City of Longwood, a atltlressed in the Ciry of Longwood', Comprehensive Plan and METROPLAN ORLANDO'S 2025 Transportation Plan, is adopted by the City of Longwood.
