Resolution 02-1061RESOLUTION NO. 02-1061 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, REFLECTING THE CITY'S INTENT TO AMEND THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO INCLUDE THE REITER PARK RENOVATION PROJECT, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is a vital part of the quality of life for the citizens of Longwood as identified in a citywide survey and master plan; and WHEREAS, the Master Plan for Parks and Recreation Land and Facilities ncludes the renovation of Reiter Park at an estimated cost of $55,1,550 to improve playground a cope, gains, skateboard park, pavilions, parking and lamdacapmg; antl s. WHEREAS, the City is applying to the State of Florida for financial ssistance through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP); and WHEREAS, the application process requires the City to adopt a resolution of intent to ,and the Capital Improvements Element of the Comprehensive Plan to complete the project should the City receive program fonds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION is The Capital Improvements Element of the Comprehensive Plan shall be amended to molded the Reiter Park Renovation Project should the City receive FRDAP funds.
