NOTICE OF A BEARING AND OPPORTUNITY TO BE I-IEARD.
WHEREAS. the Ciry of Longwood end the Longwood City Commis<ion has received a
wmplaint from U.G. (Butch) Bundy and Lynette Dennis. both members of the Longwood City
Charter Review Committee wnceming the eonduG of 1im Dely which took Dlaee in the Longwood
City Commission Chambers subsequent to the adjournment of the Longwood Chartu Review
Committee meeting on Wednesday- April 28.1999. ezid complaints being received in the form of a
Inver bam HG. (Butch) Bundy dated April 70. 1999 to lobo Drago. City Adminiseretor end a later
Pom Lynette Dennis dated April 30. 1999 to Commissioner Paul Lcvestmnd. Said Inters are

WHEREAS. a special meeting held on Monday, Mey 24, 1999, to consider and vote nn the
possible removal ofMr. lim Daly fiom the Charter Advisory Committee and the Board of Adjustment
for cause end ee considu end vote on respectively requesting that the liatoric Preservation Board
remove Mr, lim Daly fiom the Founder's Dey Committee for cause: end
WHEREAS, az the speoiel meeting on May 24. 1999, the Longwood Ciry Commission
duetmined that the tendon by Jim Daly may wnstitute malPezsznce and be cause for suspension or

removal from municipal boards pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 112.501: and

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Longwood.
Florida, as follows'.
1. That the Longwood Ciry Coitmiiesion hereby determines then ehe actions of Jim Daly
in the Longwood City Commission Chambers following the Charter Raview Committee meeting on
Wednesday. Apri128. 1999_ in making en oRensive remark m Lynane Dennis end statements made
to ItG. (Hutch) Bundy may constitute malfeasance asset forth in Florida Statues. Section 112.501.

2. That a hearing shall be held at the Longwood City Commission Chambers, 175 West

Daly en opportunity to be heard concerning these allegations and to take other evidence as the
Longwood City Commission deems necessary and proper.
