CITY OF ONGWOOD, F — ACCEPTING T
RESIGNATION OF THE LONGWOOD CITY
ATTORNEY, CHANGING THE FFECTIVE DATE
OF T E RESIGNATION AND HIRING RI CHARD
S. TAYLOR, JR. AE INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, Gretchen i,ose, Longwood City ttorney has resigned
hen position, affective M1ove — 30, 1993, and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator, .James A. .—Ili, resigned
effective \ovember 16, 1"3 and an. interis City Administrator
will be hued effective November 15, 1993, and
WHERE , it is an the best interests of the City of Longwood
that the hiring of an Interim City Attorney coincide with the
date of the hiring of t'he Interim City Administrator, and
WHEREAS, Richard E. Taylor, Jr. has expressed his
willingness tc act as Interim City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, Richard E. Taylor, Jr. has previ—sly been the City
Attorney and has axperianc. In the area of municipal law, and
WHEREAS, it is necess y and in the best interest Of the
City of Longwood that an Interim City Attorney be hired effective
November 16, 1993 until a permanent City Attorney can be hired.
NOW THEREFORE, BE .T RESOLVED THAT the resignation of
Glltchen Vole ba accepted, however, per a9ieement with Gretchen
Vo , effeciiva November 15, 1993, not NOve t 30, 1993,
Gretchen Vosa shall continue to represent the City of Longwood
r through November 30, 1993 on an "of counsel" basis to assist the
Interim City Attorney in the transition between attorneys.
