WHEREAS, The City of Longwood, .Seminole County, and the
Florida Department of Transportation have jointly undertaken and
c mpleted a ti ansportation planning stud, of State F.oad (SR) 434
known as The 3 rridor Studv.
WHEREAS, h 'd S d provides c pe _ent
technioal iustificetion of the need and feasibility of six lining
and otherwise improving SR 434 from U, 17-92 west to Mo g ry
Road.
' WHEREAS. State Road 434 is and will continue to operate at
WHEREAS, safe and adequate functioning of OR 434 _s of
crucial importance to the residents and visitors o_ the city of
Longwood and Seminole County.
1. The MPO is also requested to g e careful serious
consideration to the results of The OR 434 Corridor Studwhich
will be made available to the Transportation Technical Committee
and the MPO.
2. The City of Longwood respectfully requests the Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPOI to amend its OUATS Year 2005
Financially Feas ibis Transportation plan to include the prompt
improvement of SR 434 from the US 17-92 intersection west to
Seminole County Road 427,
3. The MPO is also respectively requested to take all suitable
actions to enable the Florida Department of Transportation to
include the future improvement of SR 434 from US 17-92 west to
Montgomery Road in .its next possible Five Year Transportation
