Resolution 87-605A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, COMMENDING THE MEMBERS OF
THE LONGWOOD BICENTENNIAL COMMISSION FOR THEIR
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS WHICH ENSURED THE
SUCCESS OF THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF
THE SIGNING OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION
WHEREAS, a Longwood Si—tennial Commission was appointed
consisting of dedicated volunteers; and
WHEREAS, this Commission has devoted many hours of their
time attending meetings to plan, coordinate, and direct the
Bicentennial observance within the City of Longwood; and
WHEREAS, this Commission through their diligent efforts
Was responsible for soliciting $1,700.00 io contributions to NOV
for all expenses associated With the celebration; and
WHEREAS, it is altogether fitting and proper that the
r
City Commission of the City of Longwood formally acknowledge the
tremendous accomplishments of the Commission and publicly thank
each member for his/her eff-ts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the following members of the Longwood
Brcentennial Commission are hereby Commended For their dedicated
efforts which helped insure the tc emendous success of Longwood's
Bicentennial Commission.
2. That the efforts of these individuals be made a
pecmane,t part of the history of Historic Longwood.
