Resolution 86-558RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY .I OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, SETTING FORTH THE POLICY OF E IT Y OF LONGWOOD PERTAINING TO FUTURE PAVINGOF STREETS AND THE APPORTIONMENT OF PAYMENTS FOR PAVING OF STREETS WHEREAS, Chapter 170, Florida Statutes, p[Ovides fee methods of making local municipal improvements such as paving If streets and provides for the assessment of the costs of such improvements against property deemed to have benefited by such improvements; and WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of the City Commission of the City of Longwood, Flo[ida to adopt a uniform policy pertaining to the assessment of costs £Dr the Paving Of streets within the City of Longwood; and WHEREAS, it rs the desire of the City Commission to establish a policy t0 promote a 1on9 [ange paving program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION OF THE 1. The policy of the City of Longwood, F10[ida, regarding paving assessment for street paving will be to assess abutting property owners ninety percent (908) of the costs of the paving and for the City Of Longwood t0 assume [esponsibility for the remaining ten percent (10%). G. The City Commission will establish a p[io[ity list for the paving of streets within the City of Longwood. 3. P[eviouB policy [ega[ding paving assessments for paving r .ity streets established by Resolution No. 531 is he [eby cancelled and superseded. 4.
