Resolution 212WHEREAS, the City of Longwood, F10rida, pursuant to Chapter 167.421, Florida Statutes, has anthority to provide life, health, accident, hospitalization, medical or annuity a nsurance, or ala or any kinds of such insurance, £or its employees and officers upon a group insurance plan and to that end t0 enter into agreemenxs watn ins ranee eo p iea to provide such insurance, and WFf BE, the City Council has determined it to be t0 the best interest of the City to provide group insurance £or its employees and officers and for the City to pay fifty percent (5b%) Of the cost of such group insurance out of the general fund of the City and the other fifty Percent (5BA) of such cost to be paid by such emp Loyees and officers who voluntarily elect to participate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOBTED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF -ODD, FLORIOA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City of Longwood, Florida, pursuant to authority If Chapter 167.421, Florida Statutes, does hereby elect to provide insurance For its employees and officers advisable by the City Council shall be paid fifty percent (50%) by the City from the general fund and the other fifty p cent (50°6) by such mployees and officers who voluntarily elect t0 participate, and the City may continue such group insurance by agreement from time to tame as deemed advisable I V-T
