Resolution 179RESOLUTION It 179 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LONGIi00D, FLORIDA, FIXING A TIME AND PL4CE IN WHICH THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY TO BE ASSESSED FOR SPECIAL IMYROVEPtENTS OF OLEANDER STREET AND EAST LARE AVENUE OR ANY OTHER PERSONS SNTERESTED THEREIN MAY APPEAR AND BE HEARD AS TO THE PROPRI- ETY AND ADVISABILITY OF MAKING SUCH IMPROVEMENTS, AS TO THE COST THEREOF, THE MANNER OF PAYMENT AND THE AMOUNT ASSESSED AGAINST EACH PROPERTY SO IM- PROVED. WHEREAS, the City Council of [he City of Longwood, Florida, did by Resolution Q1]8 deem it advisable xo improve, repair and surface portions of Oleander Streee and East Lake Avenue pursuant to ehe auehor.i.ty of Chapter 170, Florida Statutes, n the manner as set foreh in Res oLuc ion 4k 178; and WHEREAS, by said Res of ue ion atl]e, the Tax Assessor was instructed to prepare an Assessment Ro11 in accordance with the method of assessment provided 1n said Res olueion Itl]8; and WHERE45, the Tax Assessor aE the City of Longwood, Florida, has prepared and completed an Assessment Roll which was pies enced to the City Council of the City of Longwood, Florida, on JanuaxY 15, 1970, and which said AsS essment Ao11 was accepted and ordered filed with the records of .the City; and WHEREAS, under Chapter 170, Flox ids Statutes, 1967, a public hearing i.s mandatory whereby the owners of the property to be assessed or any other persons interested eherein may appear before the said City Council and be heard as to the propriety and advisability of making such impxovemenes and as to the cost thereof and as to the manner of payment therefor and as to the amount thereof eo be assessed against each property so improved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LONGW00D, FLOftIUA: That a public hearing be held on Tlles day,February 3,1970, at ]:30 p.m., at the City Hall of the City of Longwood, Florida, at which eime the owners of ehe property to be assessed for ehe improvements [o Oleander Street and East Lake Avenue, in accordance with Res nlution #178, and any other persons interested therein may appear before the Ciey Council and be heard as [o the px opriety and advis- abiLiey of making such improvements and as to [he cost there- of and as to the manner of payment eherefor and as to the amount thereof to be assessed against each property so improved according to the Assessment Ro11 prepared by the Tax Assessor of the City of Longwood, Florida. That the City Clerk of the City of Longwood, Florida, shall glue ten (10) days notice in wrie ing to the property oim ers as set forth in the said Ass essmene Ro11 as to the time and place of the public hearing designated herein, said notice shall be served by mailing a copy of same to each of ehe said property owners at his last known address as obtained from the records n£ the Tax Assessor of ehe City o£ Longwood, Florida, or from such other sources as the City Clerk deems relLab l.e and the said City Clerk shall eseablish proof of said mailing by affidavit. That notice o£ [he time and place of the pub Lic hearing as authorized herein shall be given by two (2) pub licae ions a week apart i.n The Sanford Herald, a newspaper of general circulation, published in Seminole Ceunty, Florida, provided that the Last publication shall be at least one (1) week prior to the date of the hearing.
