AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA, EXEMPTING ITSELF FROM THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTTON 101.65], FLORmA STATOTES
SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO EARLY VOTING;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWTTN; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTR'E DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has adopted revisions to Sawn 101.65] of
the Florida Stavves, said section relating to early voting; and
WHEREAS, Staze Law Blows tbe City of Longwood m "opt out" of the
provisions of Secdov 101.65], the arly voting raryirements, by adopting av ordimoce
elating such intent; and
WHEREAS, the City of Longwood Eels thaz it is in the best interesu of its
citizens to opt ov[ of the early voting provisions wvmiaed in SaTiov 101.65'1 Florida

NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED HY THE CFTY COMMISSION
OF T~ CFfY OF LONGWOOD, FI,ORIDM AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Longwood hereby exercises it right [o exempt itulf
Gom the provisions of Section 10165], Florida Stables and shall wvtmct with We
Seminole County Supervisor of Elections ro conduct early voting for [he City of
Longwood az the office ofthe Supervisor ofElections.
Section 2, The[ all ordinances or parts ofordinances in conFlirA herewith be and
the same aze hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall tnke eff immediately upon its adoption
by Ne City Commission ofthe City of Longwood, Florida.
