WHEREAS, on July 20, 1992, tEe City of Langwvod adopted its Comprehensive Plan
(Ordinance No. 1019) pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 163, Part II, Florida Statutes antl
Chapta9J-5 Florida Adm{nistrative Code; mrd
WHEREAS, ov November 19, 1993 the Florida Depamvavt o[CommuNry Affairs
determined the City's Comprehensive Plan was iv compliance wiW the requirements ofCbapter 163,
Pan A Florida Statutar and Chapter 9]-5, Alorida Admwistrarive Cade; and
WIIEREAS, Chapter 163.3174 (4) (a), Florida Stamtes requires Iha Land Planning Ag®ay
(LPA) to make recOVUnendations to the govemingbody regarding amendmems to the Comprefieasive
Plan; azrd
WHEREAS, the LPA held a public hearing on October 13, 2004 m wnsider the Smell Scale
Plm Amendment request; and recommended [he proposed Smell Scale Play Amendment (SPA 03-
04) be approved by the City Commission; and
WIIEREAS, the Ciry Commission held a public hearing October 18, 2004 and again
on November 1, 2004, pursuant to fhe regwrements of Chapter 163.318], FS.
