AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA, DETERMINING THE AMODNT OF AND
FLYING THE RATE OF AD VALOREM TAXATION
AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY POR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER I, 2003
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2004, PROVIDlNC
FOR CONFLICTS, $EVERABILITY AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONGWOOD FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Thet theemonnt deternvoed by the budget an necessary to be raised
by ad valore n the City of Longwood, Florida, for [he operation and expen es
for the admimstratmn of the affairs of the City is the sum of $1,641 300.
SECTION 2: That the millake for the Fiscal Year 2003/2004 is 6xN at 4.6'1
which is an increase of 304 per cent aver the torten[ year rolled back rate as computN in
accordance with F.S. 200065.
SECTION 3. That there shell be levied and collec[ed by the Ciry of l,angwood,
Florida, for the Final Year commending October 1, 2003 and ending September 30, 2IX14
upon all NON-EXEMPT TAXAHLE PROPERTY within the coeporate limits of said City,
ax of 4.6'1 mills on each dollar ofnon-exempt apprdsed value for the purpose of
realiank a sum sulfide to fund the budget aad m t and defray the necessary operating
expenses of said Ciry for the ensuink Final Year.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances. in conflict herewith, be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: If any action, sentence, claose or phrase ofthis ordinance is held to
be invalid or unwnstitutional by a court ofcompuent jurisdictiorx the holding shell in no
way affect the valitlity of the remaining portions ofthis ordinance.
SECTION 6: 'Chia Ordinance shall become eR rive ou October 1, 1A03.
