AMENDMENT (SPA 06-02) CHANGING THE LAND USE
DESIGNATION ON THF, FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AT 100q S. U.S. HWY 1]-92 FROM
CUUNTV COMMERCIAL (CC) TO CTTY CENF.RAL
COMMERECIAL (GC); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WNERF,AS, on July 20, 1992, the City of Longwood adapted its
Comprehensive Plan (Ordinance No. 92-1019 and subsequent amendmenu~ themto)
pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 163. Pan II, Florida Slamtes end Chapter 9)-5
Florida Administrative Code; and
WHEREAS, on November 19, 1993 the Florida Department oC
C mmunity Afiiirs determined the City's Comprehensive Plan was in compliance with
We requirements oC Chapter 163, Pan fI, Florida Statutes and Chapter 9]-5, Florida
Administrative Code: and
WHEREAS, Chapter 163.31]4 (q) (v), Plorids Statures requires the Land
Planning Agency (LPA) to make rewmmendations to the governing body regarding
amendments to the Comprehensive Plvn: and
WHEREAS, the LPA heltl a public hearing on June 11.2003 ro consider
Ne Small Scale Plan Amendment request; and recommended the proposed Small Scale
Plan Amendmem (SPA 06-02) be approved by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission held a public hearing ]uly 21,
2003 avd again on Aogust 4, 2003 pursuant to the requirement of Chapter
163.318]_PS.
RE IT SO ORDAINED RV THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONG W OOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:

Comprehensive Plan are hereby amended to change the land use designation of the

SECTION 2: Pursaam to the rrquiremevts of Chapter 163.31 R] (S) (e7, Florida
Swmtes this Ordinance shall not take eHmt until thirtyone (31) Jaye after City
Commission adoption, unless an aDPeal has been fled within that time
SECTION 3: If any section or portion ofa section of this Ordinance proves to be
invalid, unlawfirl oc unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the
