AN ORDNANCE OF' THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA, DETERMBJING THE AMOUNT OF AND
FIXING THE RATE OF AD VALOREM TAXATION
AND MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCMG OCTOBER 1, 2002
AND ENDMG SEPTEMBER 30. 2003, PROVIDING
POR CONFLICTS, SEVERABR.ITY AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAMED BY THE. CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LONGWOOD FLORIDA, AS FOLLOW S-.
SECTION I: That the amount determined by the budget as necessary to be
raised by ad valorem taxation in the City of Longwood, Florida, for the operation and
expenses for the administration ofthe affairs ofthe City is the sum of $3.501 294.
SECTION 2: That the millage for the Fiscal Year 2002/2003 is fxed at 4 67
which is an increase of0 00 per cent over the curtemt year rolled back rate as computed in
accordance with F.S. 200 065.
SECTION 3. That there shall be levied and collected by the Cily oftongwood.
FloridA for the Fiscal Year commending October 2, 2002 end ending September 30, 2003
upon all NON-EXEMPT TAXABLE. PROPF.ftTY within the coryonte limits of said
City, a tax of4 67 mills on each dollar of nonexempt appraised value for the puryose of
realizing a sum sufHoient to fend tha budges and meet and dekay the necessary operating
expenses of said City far the ensuing Fiscal Year.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances, or parts ofordinances.. in wnllict herewi[k be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: If any section, sentence, clauu or phrase ofthis ordinance is held
to bei valid or nal bye rt ofwmpetemjurisdict n, the holding shall in
no way affect thenvalidity of the remaining portions ofthis ordinance.
