AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
RELATING TO VOLUNTARY ANNEXATON; MAKING FINDINGS:
ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE
_ LIMITS OF THE CITV OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, CERTAIN
LANDS LOCATED AT 1290 antl 1350 S. U.S. HIGHWAY 17192;
REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD; FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE INTERIM

PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN COUNTY LICENSEES FOLLOWING

AGENCIES AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY,
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner(s) of certain lands more partiwlady tlescribetl
herein below, have requested that the same be annexed and Incoryoratetl into the
corporate limits of the City of Longwood, Floritla.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE GTY OF LONGWOOD. FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SecHOn 1. The lands describetl in Exhibit A and shown on the map in
Exhibit 8, a0achetl hereto, be antl the same are hereby annexetl to and
inclutletl within the coporate limits of the Clty of Longwootl, Floritla.
Section 2. The Coporate limits of the Cily of Longwootl, Floritla, be and
the same are hereby revisetl to include the lantl describetl in Section 1
hereof.
Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Longwooq Floritla tloes
hereby fntl That the lands described in Section 1 are contiguous to the
corporate limits of the Clty of Longwood, Floritla. that said lantls meet the
criteria established by Chapter 171, Florida Statutes, that said lands shoultl
be annexeq and hereby consent to the annexation.
Section 4. Upon xation, the lantls described in Section 1 shall retain a
nine and land use ciasaincation astablished by me semmme county zonir>a
Ordinance and Comprehensive Lantl Use Plan until otherwise changetl or
amentletl by appropriate ordinance of the Ciy of Longwooq Florida.

Section 6. All pets who have been lawfully engagetl in any occupation.
business, trade or profession within the area describetl in Sectien 1 above,
upon the effective tlate of this Ordinance untler a valid license or permit
therefore issued by Seminole County.. Florida, shall have right to continue
such occupation, business, tratle or profession within the entire wrporate
units of the Cily of Longwood, as revised, upon the securing of a valid
ccupational license from the City of Longwood, which license shall be issued
~pon payment of the appropriate fee therefore.
Section 7. The City Clerk is hereby directetl to file a certifed mpy of this
ordinance with the Office of the Secretary of the State of Floritla, the Office of
the Governor of [he State of Floritla, the Clerk of Court of Seminole County,
Property Appraiser antl the Seminole County Tax Collecter, within 7 tlays
Rom the effective date of the Ordinance.
ection 8. The City may require the property ownerls of the subject
property to enter Into a hold harmless agreement whereby the City will be
held harmless from incurring legal expenses in defentling against any o w
jutlicial proceeding/s that may be filed seeking to ovedum a tlecision by
the City to annex the subject properly.
Section 9 ConFlicts. All Ordinances or pads of Ordinances in wnflict with f
any of the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. ~~
Section 10 Severab'I'N. If any Section or portion of a Section of this
