W dEREA3, on luly 20, 1992 the Ciry of Longwood adopted its Comprehensive Plan
(Ordinance 1nI9) pursuant to the requlraments oPChapter J63, Pan q Florida Statutes and Chapter
9J-5 Ploride Administrative Code; and
W dEREAS, on Novomber 19, 1993 the Florida Department of Community Affairs
determined the City`s Comprehensive Plan was in compliance with the requir manta of Chapter 163,
Part D, Florida Statutes and Chapter 91-5, Florida Adminirtre[ive Code; and e
W d%REAS, Chapter 163.31'14 (4) (s). Florida Statues requires the Lend Planning Agavoy
(L.PA) w make recommendations to the Soveming body reguding amendments to the Comprehensive
Plan; end
WREREAS, the LPA held a public hearing on July 11, 2001 to considw the Small Scale Plan
Amendment request; and recommended the proposed Small Scale Plen Amendment (SPA U3-01) be
approved by the City Commission, and
W DEREAS, the City Commission held a publiv heecing August 6.2001 and again on
August ?0.2001 pursuen[ [o the re+ryirements ofChapter Ifi3 318'J_ FS.
