WHEREAS, on July 20, 1992, the City of Longwood adopted its Comprehensive Plan
(Ordi~>ence 1019) pursnant to the requirements of Chapter 163, Part II, Florida Statures and
Chapter 9]-5 Florida Adrzdnistrative Code: etM
W IIEREAS, on November 19, 1993 the Florida Deportment of Community Affa'vs
determined the City's Comprehensive Plen was M COMPLIANCE with the requvements of
Chapter 163, Pan D, Florida Statutes and Chapter 9f>, Florida Administrative Code, and
WHEREAS, Chapter 16331'14 (4) (s). Florida Statutes requires the Land Planning
Agency (LPA) to make recommendations to the governing body regrading emendmems m
the Comprehensive Plan; and
W t1ERF.AS, tfie LPA held a public hearing on Jnly 12, 2000 which recahW in a
recommeMation that SPA OI-00 be adapted by the City Commission; and
W HF,REAS, the City Commission held a pnblio hearing pursuant to the requirements of
Chapter 163.318], FS..
