AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. IOI9, SAID ORDINANCE BEING
THE COMYREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF LONGWOOD,
FLORIDA; SAID SMALL 6CALE PLAN AMENDMENT (SPA 06-99)
CHANGING THE LAND USE UESIGNATIUN ON THE FUTURE
LAND USE MAP OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FROM
COUNTY COMMERCIAL (COM) '1'O CITY GENERAL
COMMERCIAL (GC); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on ]uly 20, 1992, the City ofLongwood adopted e comprehensive
plan (Ordinance I OI9) pursnent to the requirements ofChapter 163, Part B, Florida
Statutes and Chaptu 9J-5 Florida Adminisvetive Code; and
WHEREAS, on Novembu I9, 1993 the Florida Uepartment of Community AfGirs
determined the City-s Comprehensive Plan was IN COMPLIANCE wiN the requvements
oPChapter 163. Par! R. Florida Stautes and Chapter 9,>-5, Plorida Administrative Code;
WHEREAS, Chapter 163.31 ]4 (4) (e). Florida Statutes requires the Land Plantimg
Agency (LPA) ro make recommeodedoos to the governing body regarding amendments to
the Comprehensive Plan and
WHEREAS, the lPA held a public hearing on May 12,1999 which resulted in e
recommendation tl>et SPA OG99 be adapted by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission held a public hearing pwsuant to the
raga"vements of Chapter 163.318J, F.S.; and_
