AMENDING 24-20.05 (THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP) OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA,
AS AMENDED; 3AID AMENDMENT CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF THE PARCEL OF LAND DESCRIBED
HF,REIN (RZ 0498) FROM COUNTY SINGLE FAMILY
DWELLINGS (R-I) AND CITY INDUSTRIAL PARK (t-L) TO
CITY INDUSTRIAL GENERAL (I-2); PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERARILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, ov fitly 20, 1992, the City of Longwood adopted a comprehensive
plan (Ordinenee t019) pursuant to the requ'vemema ofChaptar 163. Pen B, Florida
Stam[es and Chapter 91-5, Florida Administrative Code; and
W HEREAB, on November 19, 1943, the Florida Depaztmevt afCommuoity
AHa'vs determined the City's Compreheavive Plav was IN COMPLIANCP, with the
requirements of Chapter 163, Prot [I. Florida Statutes and Chapter 93-5, Florida
Administrative Code: and
WHEREAS, Chapter 163, Part II requires the Chy to implement the adopted Plan
by land development regnlatiovs; and
WHEREAS, pursuam to the authority of Chapters i GG.041 and 163.3202, Florida
Statutes, the Cily enacted a Land Development Code; and
WHEREAS, Chapter?420 OS ofthe City Code, establishes av Official Zoning
Map for the City of Lar~gwood; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 163.31 ]4 (4). Florida Swtutes requires that the Land
Planning Agency review Vroposed land development regulations, or amendments thereeo,
far consistency with the adopted Plan, as may be amended; and
WHEREAS, the Land Planning Agency (EPA) held e public hearing on May 12,
1999, to coissider a proposed amendment (RZ 0498) to the Offic'al Zoo ne Man and
Ordinance No. 99-t461

mode a finding that the proposed zoning would be wmpatible with the existing uses in
the edjaccm area; and recommended «re proposed ordinance No. 9A 14G I be enacted by
the City Commission; and
WMF,REAS, the City has complied with the procedure for enacting ordinances as
dexribed by Chapter 166.04E Florida Statutes.
