RECOMMENDATION'
To dissolve the Community Services Department, redeveloping the Planning Department and the Public
Works Department.
EXPLANATIONIBACKGROUND:
It has been determined that the reorganization of combining the Planning, Parks and Public Work
Departments to create the CommunTy Servieas Department has not pertormetl to Iha expected Ivwels.
iherelore lhea been decided fo dissolve the Community Services Department, reesfabllshing the
Planning Department and the Public Works Department including the Parks Division.
PROGRAM IMPACT'
The Communiy Services Director has been removed and placed as the Planning Director. Tha Sfreat
Supadnlantlenf has been plaoed In the position of interim Public Works Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Street Superintendent wll reoe4e a10%lnorease to his current wage, which will equal approximately
$152.]8 atltlitionally for Ne remainder of Ihls fiscal year. However the Community Services Director will
a cut in salary of approximately $1483.49. This Ise savinge of epProximafely $1d0.Z0 for the
