CITY COMMIHHION OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, £LORIDA, AS FOLLOWSY T SECTION 1 That Article SI2. Departments., s hereby ended by repealing Sec. 2-29 Fire Department and 2-31 Police Department .and replacing as follows: sec. 2-29. Public Safety Department. (a) Created. There is hereby established and c ted a public safety department of the City of Longwood, Florida, which shall c of a police division and a fire safety division and othert divisions which the City Commission may assign. (b) Department Head. The director of public safety shall be the head of the department. (1( The public safety director shall be i charge of traffic engineering and shall e e specific powers and duties delegated [o him with respect to traffic engineering as provided in this chapter. (1) The police division shall be responsible for enforcement of c nal laws and traffic laws of the city and such other duties as the public safety director shall determine from Came to trme.
