Industrial Waste Services, Inc. foe the collection of commercial
solid waste en the City of Longwood will expire on August 1, 1993;

wHEREAE, a new commercial franchise agreement has n t yet
been adopted and to insure the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of Longwood, it is imperative that the collection of solid
waste be continued; ana
WHEREAS, rd finance No. 981 provides for Che extension of
the Exclusive Franchise with Sntlustrial Waste Servic nc., for
the collection of commercial solid waste in the City of Longwood;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Commission of
the City of Longwood, Florida, that the City Commission determines
that the subject matter of this ordinance is an emergency and must
be adopted immediately without the formalities of two egad ings and
an advertisement, and therefore, the following ordinance 1s hereby
adopted as follows:
EECT SON S. That Ordinance No. 9 granting an Exclusive
Franchise to industrial Waste Services, Inc. for the collection of
Commercial solid Waste 1n the City of Longwood, Florida, is hereby
SECTION 2. Conflicts. A11 ordinances or parts thereof in
conflict herewith, be and the same, are hereby repealed.
