be rescheduled Dy the City Commission to a day which does not
constStote a legal holiday.
NOW THEREFORE, EE IT ORUASNEU BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOU, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: AMEN UMENT TO ARTICLE II, SECTION 2-16(a). That
Article II, Section 2-16 (a) rs hereby amended to add the
following provision ai the end of Section 2-16(a):
However, the city commrss_on may, at Its dis<[etion,
reschedule or cancel any meeting which falls on a legal holiday,
by providing a minlmum o£ seven (]7 days not c<e to the pVblic.
All remaining pxov is ions of Article II, Section 2-16 shall xemarn
the same.
TION 2: SEVERAEILS I'Y. If any sec tron, paragraph,
clause, sentence, rt em, phcase, word or provision of this
ordinance be declared invalid rn a coact of competent
jurisdiction, such decision well not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or anY part thereof, not so de<la red
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE. This o[dinance sftall take
effect immediately upon i s final /passage and adoption.
