DO FOR AL/INDUSTRIAL OSTOMERS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is necessary to remove the monthly public service tax maximum charge Of $—SE for all commercial/industrial customers for any services rendered by certain utilti— NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LONGWGOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 21-16 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby revised to read as follows: "Sec. 21-16. Levy. There is hereby imposed and levied by t'1 City a tax upon each and every purchase of electricity, metered or bottled gas (natural, liquefied or manufactured), water service, telephone service and telegraph service within the city in the amount Of ten (IN) percent of each payment received by the seller of such utility service or commodity; which tax shall be paid by the purchaser I. the seller, for the use of the city, at the time of paying the I—, thereafter, but not less Often than monthly; provided, however, that a maximum charge to any user Of any of the services rendered by the above mentioned utilities shall be five dollars ($5.00) on any residen- tial bill rendered." 1 secmxoN z: All ordinances or parts OF ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. TION 3 If any section or a portion of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section of this ordinance.
