AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 495 BEING THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOll, FLOAI DA BY REVISING SECTION 201.1 TO
AMEND THE DEFINITION OF DEVELOPMENT OR TO
DEVELOP, TO INCREASE THE SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
WHICH CONST ITOTE A DEVELOPMENT AND ADDING NEW
DEFINITIONS OF BUILDING SITE, PERVIOUS
SURFACE A RATIO, AND WETLANDH TO
EXPAND ANDE CHANGE THETSCOPE OF LANDS ANO
PERSONS UHJECT TO JURISDICTION OF THE
COIAPAEHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEPARABILITY AND FOA AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Wt1EREAS, the City Commission of Longwood, PS Orida has
dete[mined that sections of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance require
certa[n amendments to cevvse and expand the scope of lands and persons
subject to the jurisdiction of the Code of O[di nances, Appendix A,
Ordinance Number 495, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, an older to
ensue the o[de [ly development o£ [he Ci[y and the protection of public
health, safety and wel£ace; and,
wNeREAS, vt [s deemed to be rn the best interests of the
City to undeztake ce rt avn amendments to the definitions included vn the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT ORDAINED HY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
r SECTION l: That the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, o£ the

SECTION 5: That the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A of the

SECTION 9: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be
effective upon its final passage and adoption by the City Commission of
Longwood, Florida.
