tncrea se the monthly Public Service Tax maximum charge to any one user of any of
the services rendered by certain viili ties,
NOW, TtIEREFORE, BE IT ORDA INFO BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
LONGWOOD, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That Section 21-16 of the Cade Of Ordinances is hereby revt sed to
read as follows:
"Sec. 21-16.Levy. There is hereby imposed and levietl by tM1e city a
Tax upon each and every purchase Of electricity, metered or bottled gas (natural,
Iiquefietl or manufactured), water service, telephone sews ce and tel e9raph ser-
vice within the city in the amount Of ten (10) percent of edch payment rece ivetl
by the seller of such utility service or convnodi ty: which tax shall be paid by
the purchaser to the seller, for the use Of the cf ty, at the time of paying the
charge thereafter, but not less often, than monthly; provided however that a
maximum charge to any user Of any Of the 5ervi ces rendered by the above mentioned
utilities sM1ell be Five dollars (55.00) On any re si denti zl monthly bill renderetl
and ten tlollars (510.00) On any commercial/in du ztri al monthly bill rendered."
SECTION 2:
All ord inan<es or parts of ortlinances in conflict herewith be and '~
the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3:
If any section or a portion Of this ordinance proves to be in val td,
unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the
validity, force or effect of any other section of this ordinance.
SeLT ION 4:
This ordinance shall cake effect July 1, 1Sc5.
