[VHEREAH, it is the intent of the City o_ ood, Florida

WHEREAS, the City Coemii ssion of the City of Longwood, has
de to mined that certain increases sn monthly fees and connectron
services are necessary to provide for this serve ce.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Commission o_ the
City of Longwood, as follows:
SECTION 1:
Section 3 of Ordinance No. 402 be, and the same rs hereby ~
amenaaa to reaa as follows:

at the trme the permit for connectron vs obtained, in addition, person
p ocuring the application shall pay the actual cost o_ all materials
and labor incurred by the City in conjunction witn each connection.
Section 12 of Ordinance No. 402 be, and the same 'rs hereby
amenaea to raga as follows:
Eectron 12 (a): A residential owner, developer Or contrac or,
as the case fight be, shall aay a monthly fee to the City of L
Florida for sewage treatment servrce rn the amount of nrne dollars
($9.00)."

non-water system customers shall p y a monthly fee to the C o£

hundred and fifty dollars IS 75 O.OO) during the season and a monthly
fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) o££ season.
Se ctvon 13 of Ordinance No. 402 be, and the same is hereby
amended by adding, the follwing paragraph.
It is the intent of the City of Longwood, Florida to encourage
conservation of energy and resources in every cuay possible and the City
fully supports the development and conversion of residential sewer
systems Co a Gray Water systems which is defined as a sewer system
which retains waste from showers, bathtubs, laundries, and sinks on site
in a drainage field and/or in a recircul atinq retention tank and Only
waste from water closets and garbage disposal uni is would enter the
City's sewaye disposal system. As an vncen ti ve to deve lOOers and home-
owners to install or convert to a dray water system, residential
sewer fees will be $6.OO Per month and sewer connection fees will be
5375.00 for initial hookup instead of 545.00.
SECTION 2: All Ordinances and Reso lvtions or pasts thereof
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it
shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or Part of this Ordinance.
cT ION 9: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage and adoption.
