WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood,
Florida has determined the need exists for a revrsron to sign
regulations enacted by Ordi.nan ce No. 495 on March 23, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Longwood,
Florida has held a workshop sessron to consider various changes to
the sign regulations contained in Section 621 of Ordinance No. 495.

OF THE CITY OF L0NGwO0D, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS.

hereby amended to read as follows:
621. 3.A PROHIBITED SIGNS. Add subparagraph 13 which
reads as follows: '13. Stacked or multiple billboard signs. Bill-
board signs will have only one sign facing in i:he same direction.
621. S.D TEMPORARY SIGNS. Correct first Paragraph to
read as Follows: The Ci1:y Building Official may giant permits for
temporary signs, including portable signs and wind .signs to he erected
on the premises of an establishment or activity having a grand opening
or special event. Such signs shall: (L) be permitted for not more
than sixty (601 calendar days in and 60 days out, and (2) shall. bey,
erected in a manner satisfactory to the City Building Official to
insure against hazard to the pub 1. i.c. A tee of ten do LLars ($10.00)
per month, with a mcn.~.mum fee of twenty (520.00) rs required for
such signs. Said signs shall be removed immediately upon expieat i.on
of permit. If the permittee fails to remove Che sign upon expiration

for thirty (30) days before being disposed of. Owners may recover
such removed signs prior to disposal upon payment of a fee of $25.00

Correct second paragraph to read as follows:
Mrnrmum distance between signs shall be 200 feet feom other
temporary signs located on the same side of [he street, except
that a new business which has never previously engayed in
business in the City of Longwood will be exempt from the 200
feet restrrctron from another temporary sign for an established
business. No more than one e emption to the 200 feet restrrctron
will be granted to new businesses within any one 200 foot area.

Correct Item 8 for P-9 category. Minimum height to

feet high at the base or floor of the sign."
Correct first sentence to read as follows: Maxrmum permitted area
fox each P-J or P-0 sign, maxrmum number of P-J signs allowed per
use, and maxrmum pe mrtted area of all P-J or P-6 signs shall be
determined by use of the focmula listed below except that the
maxrmum area of all P-J or P-8 signs cannot exceed 200 square feet:
621.4.8 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT. Correct wording to
