Dear Mr. Gran[:
The Charter requires that from e otime the city be redistricted
s.chat each df s crict wi 11 have equalpopulat ion. The map original-
ly presented by Mr. Chacey and the r r sed map have a e cc ly the
e popuiation. In addi. t.i on, the mappresen ted by M Chacey
follows n ra1 boundaries and mrDads while also providing
t iguitytof each distri ce. Ther sed map does n t follow
n acural boundaries nor provide contiguity of districts.
The governing body of Longwood has c a long way in demonstrating
equality
. m icy and eiimi.n aci on ofms pedal i ruling
ehe ciey. We ua11 s r government cotbe'res pecce d,
and n ehe object ofms and laughter. Thus, o should
be thetr salt of logicaler ing based on prin tip Sescof democracy,
and wh— a precedencesi the United Staees such a splitting
a Coun ci lman ss [district i separate and distinct pares there
should be valid reasons forocheoaction.
One r that I heard i chat the Highland Hills Civic Association
and chespeople i that a requested this a These w calk

this. In face [hey said that 1 ould be detrimental c ctheii scs
of Highland Hills, (Win do tee) residents to proceed in his manner.
Another r n given wfor the r sed map w that Tiberon r si.dencs

found this r o be un a15o. It i that when Tiberon

Mother argument that I have heard chat the revised map w s proposed
is s that Mr. Goldberg will x eain his se n xhe City Council if
he buys a home in Tiberon. Tote thinkthatthis x valid r n,
