I IIIAS, Flbrida Statute 116.021(5) provides that
Chapter 69-12I0, Laws of Florida, 1969 (SDec£aI Acts), and
Chapter 69-1266, Laws of Florida, 1969 (Special Acts), became
ordinances of the City of Longwood, Florida, effective July 1,
1923; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City It Longwood,
Florida, deems certain amendments to said ordinances to be
meet and proper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY of LONEMOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS;

(a) Any qualified eleotor of the City of Longwood,
Florida, who has been a resident of the City For I period of one
year next preceding date If Qualification, ;.s registered to vote
in City election at the time of qualification, and resides at
the time of qualification in the council district for which he
qualifies for elections and who is otherwise o iif-ed to be a
member of the City Council may be a candidate for election t
the City Council.
fib) Any candidate for election to City Council who
ceases to possess any of the foregoing goals£ications sub.......
IN qualification shall be struck from the ballot.

(A) Any Councilman who shall cease to possess any of
the foregoing qualifications shall forfeit his o.frce.
