WHEREAS, the City o£ Longwood, F10rida, has enacted Ordinance No. 339 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LINGWGOD, FIORIDA, ADOPTING A EDDGET FOR THE CITY OF LONG-OC, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1973, AND ENDING SEFTEMBLR 30, 1974, AND APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING REVBNUBE OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR"; and WHEEEAS, a portion If said revenues being denominated Federal Revenue Sharing" were not appropriated by Ordinance M. 339; and WHEREAS, the City Of Longwood, Florida, desires to re- duce the appropriation of the balance of revenue denominated Federal Revenue Sharing" and appropriate that portion not appropriated; and WHEREAS, the City of Longwood, Florida, desires t0 purchase oertarn equipment, i.e. dump truck and fogging equipment, and pr vide for the immediate drainage needs Of the said City; and WHEREAS, the City of Longwood, Florian, desires to Co - roue for the benefit Df the citizens of said community a summe ecreation pz0gram; and WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Longwood, Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the City of recreational program and to immediately provide for needed drainage, deeming said expenditures to be for the general health, safety and welfare of the Citizens If the City of Longwood, eloriaa; ana WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Longwood, Florida, declares the purchase of said equipment, the contvnua- tion If said program and drainage needs to be immediately critical. Now, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY W[INCIL OF THE CITY OF UJNCW00D, FEC ➢A, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1; That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency ordinance within the provisions of the Charter of the City of Longwood, Florida, Chapter 69-126H, Laws of Florida, 1969. SECTION 2; That Page 1 of the Budget for the City of Longwood, Florida, for the Fiscal Year 1973/1974, being denomi- nated City of Longwood, Florida, Budget Summary, 1973/1974, be and the same is hereby amended by reducing the sum shown as Cash Carry-over' under "Revenue" from $177,000.00 to $175,919.00. SECTION 3; That Exhibit "A of the Budget of the City If Longwood, Florida, for Fiscal Year 1973/1974 being denominated City of Longwood, ^lorida, Budget Summary - All Funds, Revenues, Year Ending September 30, 1974, be and the same rs hereby amended as follows: that the item Cash £or Still Year, Federal Re VEnn Sharing', be reduced from $27,000.00 to $25,919.00; that the total £or Federal Revenue Sharing be reduced from $56,000.00 to $54,919.00; and thatthe total of $4,218,170.00 be reduced to $4,217,089.00. SECTION 4: That Exhibit "B of the Budget of the City It Longwood, Florida, for Fiscal Year 1973/1974, being denominate City of Longwood, Budget C1.1 ry - All Funds, Expenditures, Year Ending September 30, 1974, be and the sme re hereby amended as follows; a. By reduction of appropriation under Code 421, Classification - Fund Department, Building - Federal Revenue Sharing, £xom $20,000.00 tc $50, 000.00. B. By reduction o£ total funds under Federal evenue Sharing from $56,000.00 to $54,919. 00. c. By appropx iation of $6,ra592 .00 for purchase of dump truck under Code 433, Vehrc , Fedel Revenue Sharing. I. By appropriation of $1,185.00 for purchase of fogging equipment under Code 435, Machinery and Equipment, Federal Revenue Sharing. e. By appropriation of $4,003.00 £or summer re- re ataonal program management contract under Code 303, Other zofeseional Fees, Federal Revenue Sharing. f. By appropriation for drainage program of $33,139 under Code 455, Storm Sewers, Federal. Revenue Sharing. g. By reduction of grand total £xom $4,218,170.00 o $4,217,089. 00. SECTION 5: The provisions of this Ordinance are de- ,"::I to be ­--Iand if any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall for any reason be he l.d to be —lid or uncons trtutiona 1, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, sentences, clauses and phrases o£ this Ordinance but they sha 11 remain in effect, it being the legislative intent that this Ordinance shall stand notwithstanding the invalidity of any part.
