Ordinance 290r ORDINANCE NO. 290 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF LONGNME, FLORIDA, AN AREA OF LAND SITUATE AND BEING IN SOM ROLE COUNTY, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: PARCEL 1: ALL THAT PART OF SW 1/4 OF SW 1/4 LYING NORTH OF LUNGWOOD HILLS ROAD LESS THE NORTH 66 FEET AND LESS THE EAST 66 FEET THEREOF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 20 SOUTH, BARGE 30 EAST, SEMNOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND PARCEL 2: THE SE 1/4 OF THE SW 1A LESS THAT PART SOUTH OF THE LONGWOOD HILLS ROAD, SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 20 SOUTH, RANGE 30 EAST, SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIRE IS OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE SAID LAND IN THE F9INICI PAL L.IMTS OF THE CITY; AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO CITY NAP INCLUDE SAID LAND ANNEXED; PROVIDING ZOMNG CLASSIFI- CATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZENSHIP IN THE CITY; SEVERABILITY; AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, there have been filed with the City Clerk o the City of Longwood, Florida, Petitions containing the names of the property owners in the area of Seminole County, Florida described as follows: Parcel 1: All that part If SW 1/4 of SW 1/4 Lying North of Longwood Hi 111 Road less the North 66 feet and less the Ease 66 I_ thereof, Section 30, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, Seminole Cai nty, Florida; and Parcel 2: The SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 less that part South of the Longwood Hills Road, Section 30, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, Seminole County, Florida; requesting annexation to the corporate area of the City of Longwood, Florida, and requesting to be included therein; and WHEREAS, said Petitions were duly certified to the T Assessor If Seminole County, Florida, pursuant to the Charter the City of Longwood, Florida, Chapter 69-1268, Laws of Florid 1969, and the certification of the Tax Assessor of Seminole County, Florida, as to the sufficiency of such Petitions pursuant to the terms of said Charter recerved; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Longwood, Florida, has deemed it 'in the best interest of the City of Longwood, Florida, to accept said Petitions and to annex said NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the following described property, eo-wit: Parcel 1: All that part of SW 1/4 of SW 1/4 f lying North If Longwood Hills Road less the eta North 66 It- and less the East 66 feet thereof, Section 11, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, s eminole County, Florida; and Parcel 2: The SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 less that part South of the Longwood Hi11s Road, Section 30, Township 20 South, Range 30 East, Seminole County, Florida; be and the same Ls hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Longwood, Florida, pursuant to the terms of the Charter of th City of Longwood, Florida, Chapter 69-1268, Laws of Florida, 1969. SECTION 2: That the property heretofoee described I. Section 1 of this Ordinance shall have the following zoning c lassi£ic ations as described in the Zoning Ordinances of the City of Longwood, Florida: Parcel 1: The South 200 feet of Parcel 1 shall have the z Wing classification of B-1 Business District, and the thea index of Parcel 1 shall have z ing classification of R-1 Residential District; Parcel 2: The South 200 feet of Parcel 2 0a11 have the z ing classification of B-1 Business District, and the index of Parcel 2 shall have thea z ing c]ca .assifiti.on of R-1 Residential Di— ri- m SECTION 3: That the corporate limits of the City of Longwood, Florida, be and it is herewith and hereby redefined so as eo include said land herein described and annexed. SECTION 4: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized to amend, alter and supplement the Official City Map of the City of Longwood, Florida, to include the annexation Contained rn Section 1 hereof. SECTION 5: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective, the resident and property owners to the above described annexed area sha11 be entitled to all of the rights, privileges and ivmwaiiies as are from time to time determined by the governing authority of the City of Longwood, Florida, and the provisions of said Charter of the City of Longwood, Florida, Chapter 69-1268, Laws of Florida, 1969. SECTION 6: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu[ion- al, it shall not be held to revalidate or impair the validity, for , r effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance. SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 8: This Ordinance shall cake effect ivmediately upon its final passage and adoption.
