CALL TO ORDER: Mr. Noyes called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M. 2. ELECTIONS: A. Chairperson 11~s, Putz nominated ~3ruce Noyes as Chairperson. ~Ir. Richardson seconded the nomination. There were no further nominations for Chairperson. T~~e no»zination for Chairperson was approved by a i~r~animaus voce. ~. Vice Chairperson 11rls. Putz nominated Johnnie Richardson as Vice Chairperson. IVlr. Cardinal .seconded the nornination. There were no f ~rther nominations, for Vice Chairperson. The nomination for Vice Chairperson was approved by a unanimous vote. 3. APPRGVAL 4F MINUTES: December I4, 205 Ms. Putz made a motion to approve as presented. Mr. Richardson seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. ~. PUBLIC COMMENT: No public comments. Ms. Putz made a motion to crone the Public Con~rnent. ~Ir. Cardinal seconded the motion. SPA 0l -0b Small Scale Comprehensive Plan Amend~nent 131 Longwood Hills Road ordinance Number 06-1790 LPA D2-DS~Q~ Minutes Page l of 3 MOTIONIRECOMMENDATION: Mr. Sizemore stated that the Community Development Division of the Community Services Department recommends the Land Planning Agency recommend approval or denial to the City Commission off' a Sma11 Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment SPA O1-fib} Future Land Use map} from County Agricultural to City Medium Density Residential MDR}, for the property located at 131 Longwood Hills Road. E~FLANATIONBACKG ROUND: Mr. Sizemore explained that the subject property has an application on file to be annexed into the municipal limits of the City of Longwood. The annexation ordinance is scheduled to appear before the City Commission on Febr~~ary 2D, ~DDb and March b, 2DD6. Upon annexation, the City Commission will hold public hearings to assign a City Future Land Use Designation to replace the existing County designation. He also added that the applicant is requesting that the praperty~ s Land Use Designation be changed from County Agricultural to City Medium Density Residential MDR}, The Land Planning Agency is required by Florida Law to make a recommendation on land use decisions to the City Commission, Michael Towers, 754 Fleet Financial Court, stated he would answer any questions the Board ~, members might have. Mr. Noyes mentioned he did not believe that MDR would not fit in that area. Mr. Towers stated that the structures would have a College Park appearance. They will be two stories with the garages in the rear. Ms. Putt stated she thought that MDR was a reasonable designation and a good transition as well. Mr. Noyes closed the Public Con~n~ent. .ll~fs.
